Lacking Belief

Well, it’s Monday morning again, the weekend is over, the clocks went back on Sunday and it’s going to be grim this evening going home in the dark. Not only that, but there’s no MNF!

I can’t say I’ve benefited much from the extra hour in bed on Sunday and I’m extra tired today after staying up to watch the F1 (what a drive from Lando!).

The Important Stuff

Let’s start with the 5:30 kick-off at Molineux – Wolves v Newcastle! What a day! Not only in terms of the football, but everything else…

Nice early morning gym session and managed to catch the first half of the Chelsea game before me and my pal Joe went to Wolverhampton and enjoyed hospitality in WV1+. What happened to Chelsea please? From what I watched it looked like they were all over Brentford but by the time I got to Wolverhampton and checked the score, they’d lost 2-0?!

Anyway, we arrived at Molineux, enjoyed unlimited food and drink (possibly the best part of the day). Obviously, being a supporter of good causes I spent £5 on scratch cards, but it must have been my lucky day, I won a stadium tour – bosh! During the match we played corners – you know, when every time there’s a corner, you pass the envelope of cash on and whoever has it at the end wins – well your girl won that too!

Besides that, the game was mint… it was pretty fair and considering Joe is a Wolves fan, it was nice to see a smile on his face when they got the equalizer. In fact, forget the smile, his jacket was off and he was bouncing up and down, swinging it round his head! Made me so happy to see him like this.

Both teams deserved to win in my opinion so to finish 2-2 was about right.

Met some lads from Hexham on the way home and had a good chat about the game and FPL.

To touch on the FPL, I had an absolute nightmare – captained Watkins instead of Haaland. Dropped from 2nd in the league to 17th. School boy.

Super Sunday

Everton edged another win and if you’ve read by first couple of posts, you’ll know how important this is for my family. Up the toffees!

Did United play this weekend? Literally, did they even play? City turned up to a training session at Old Trafford.

Following the match, Roy Keane made his thoughts clear on Bruno Fernandes saying ‘He’s the opposite of what you would want as a captain’ and I couldn’t agree more. There’s just something about him that annoys me, he’s always so hard done to. It’s a shame because he’s clearly talented but I’m just not a fan.

I think a lot of United fans at this point are lacking belief, but where do United need to make the changes? Is it board level? Management? Players? I like United, I like seeing them do well but as a fan, I imagine it’s getting tougher every week.
